Indian organisation comes up with a unique initiative to improve bilateral ties between Pakistani and India

NEW DELHI - Indian organisation comes up with a unique initiative of a joint India Pakistan cricket team to improve bilateral ties between Pakistani and India.

Indian and Pakistani governments should use sports and culture to improve bilateral relations, Saurashtra Oil Millers Association (SOMA) said in a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

The letter said that a war will hurt Indian economy and Pakistan's economy is already in a very bad shape. Instead of confrontation, both the governments should try to improve economic conditions of the masses.

"Let there be a joint cricket team of Indian and Pakistani players. Matches should be held against Rest of the World team and be played in India and Pakistan.

This way Indian spectators would also be cheering Pakistani players when matches are played in India and Pakistani spectators will be cheering Indian players when matches are played in Pakistan.

We will be able to improve good will between people of both the countries," said Samir Shah, president of SOMA. He also said that cultural events of dance and music can also be held.
