Ahsan directs to finalize "Laptop for All Scheme"

ISLAMABAD:Interior Minister Ahsan Iqbal has directed to finalize the "Laptop for All" scheme for provision of modern computers to all students of the country.
Addressing a meeting in connection with "Laptop for All " scheme in Islamabad on Tuesday, he said that the government provides one hundred thousand laptops to students on merit every year.
He said the remaining students will be given laptops on easy terms and conditions. He said that the youth should be equipped with modern computers in digital age.
He also directed Higher Education Commission to enforce the financing scheme with the partnership of banks.
The meeting was attended by chairman HEC, heads of banks and the officers of education ministry.APP/AFP
