Pakistan, India inch closer to technology-enabled initiatives

Parliamentarians of Pakistan and India have agreed that tremendous opportunities exist between the two countries for exchange and sharing of information on a variety of technology-enabled initiatives.

They were speaking during a dialogue titled "Technology for Better Governance in Pakistan and India" in Dubai on Tuesday.

They underscored that technology has immense potential to improve governance in Pakistan and India.

They said that exchange of good practices in this area will enable the two countries to address the challenges of digital divide in both countries.

MNAs Talal Chaudhry and Arif Alvi led the Pakistani side while Union Minister of India Mani Shankar Aiyar and Dushyant Chautala led Indian side in the dialogue.
