Kevin Pieterson embarrasses government officials

LONDON: English batsman Kevin Pietersen replied to rumours that his decision to not play in the final of the Premier Super League (PSL) stemmed from Imran Khan’s statement that he opposed holding the final in Lahore for security reasons.

The batsman, who played for the Quetta Gladiators, posted a video message in which he said he was told it was not a good idea to travel to Pakistan.

“It was a family decision and has absolutely nothing to do with what Imran Khan said," Pietersen said, adding that he took his decision before the tournament due to security concerns.
