Vladimir Putin hits the highest level of support 70% mainly by the Russian youth
MOSCOW: A State-run pollster VTsIOM claimed that Vladimir Putin has hit the highest level of main support by 70% Russian youth.

VTsIOM claimed that a total of 74% of Russian would vote to elect Putin as President which will be held in 2018.

VTsIOM said “Even among those who think the president has not yet fulfilled many of his pre-election promises, 70 percent are still willing to support Putin.”

The same polling series declared 40% votes for Putin in 2012 but it claimed that rating level rose among many social groups including youth.

Another Russian pollster Levada Centre also provided similar ratings.

If Putin win the election it will be his fourth term as President.

Putin has the right to serve until 2024.

The opposition parties claimed that figures are unfavourable.

They claimed that media is providing favourable coverage to Putin by ignoring them.

They claimed that by that stage Putin would be 70 years old which is against the constitutional limit.and there is a need to stop him from serving more than two consecutive terms.

Putin has been the President of Russia since 7 May 2012 and previously he served as President from 2000 to 2008.

He had also served as Prime Minister from 1999 to 2000 and again from 2008 to 2012.
