Captain (R) Safdar name placed on ECL: Sources

ISLAMABAD – Maryam Nawaz husband Captain (r) Safdar’ name was placed on the Exit Control List (ECL) over the ccountability court’s decision in Avenfield reference.
According to the sources, the Ministry of Interior has put the name of Pakistan Muslim League leader on Exit Control List (ECL). Sources said the Interior Ministry had sent a notification to the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Immigration in this regard.
After that, Captain Safdar was included in the black list and he cannot travel abroad.
On Friday, Nawaz’s son-in-law Capt (retd) Safdar has been given a one year sentence without any fine by the NAB court. Following the verdict, Safdar stand barred from contesting the July general election from Lahore and Mansehra, respectively.
Earlier yesterday before the court’s decision, Safdar said he does not fear any verdict against him, adding that he will be exonerated in the court of public opinion.
