CPEC: ML - 1 from Peshawar to Karachi upgradation design completed

ISLAMABAD - Pakistan Railways has completed the feasibility study and preliminary design for up-gradation of Main Line-I from Peshawar to Karachi under China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).
An official of the Ministry told APP that the up gradation project will increase speed of trains.
Regarding availability of locomotives, he said in 2013 only 160 locomotives were functional but now with the concerted effort of the government 324 locomotives out of 473 are operating.
