Pakistan domestic and foreign debt increased by Rs. 4,368 billion in last 4 years reaching 67.5% of GDP

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan domestic and foreign debt have increased to Rs. 4,368 billion in last 4 years.


As per statistics of Financial Ministry, the total debt of Pakistan was 16,338 billion at the end of 2012-13 but now the debt has increased to 20,706 in 2015-16 from July to September.


The local debts has increased to 12,714 billion from 9,520 billion while foreign debts has reached to 4,952 billion from 4,336 billion.


The volume of total debts is 67.5% of country’s GDP.
