Chowk in Faisalabad renamed after martyred PAF pilot Maryam Mukhtar

FAISLABAD: Government college women university Madina town Chowk has bee renamed after the first woman martyred PAF pilot Maryam Mukhtar. Rana Sana Ullah formally inaugurated the Chowk here on Monday.


MNA Mian Abdul Manan, DCO Noor Ul Amin Mengal, VC Government college women university Dr. Noorin, Registrar Kishor Naheed and others were also present at this occasion.


While talking to media, Rana Sana Ullah said that Maryam is the hero of nation and she is symbol of bravery and courage for the nation’s daughter. He further added that entire nation feels proud on Maryam Mukhtar.


Renaming the chowk after Maryam would provide inspiration to women students, he said. “She is a national hero who achieved excellent status among women through her extraordinary capabilities,” he added.
