Ambassador designate of Cuba, Iran and Sri Lanka present their credentials to President of Pakistan

ISLAMABAD: An impressive ceremony held in President House in honor of envoys designate of Cuba, Iran and Sri Lanka. Envoys presented their credentials to President of Pakistan Mamnoon Hussain in the ceremony.


As per details, Gabriel Tiel Capote, Ambassador of Cuba, Mehdi Honordoust, Ambassador of Iran and Maj. Gen. Loku Katagodage Jayanth Chandrasiri Perera High Commissioner of Sri Lanka presented their credentials to President of Pakistan.


Each of the ambassador was taken to the main gate of Aiwan-e-Sadr in a horse driven carriage. National anthem of Pakistan, Iran, Sri Lanka and Cuba were presented in the ceremony. A smartly turned out contingent of Pak Army also presented Guard of Honor to the honorable ambassadors.


Later, all the ambassadors individually met with President Mamnoon. While discussing with ambassadors, President Mamnoon congratulated them to take responsibilities of envoys.


He further added that Pakistan wants to create friendly relations with all countries, particularly with regional countries. Talking about Pakistan's efforts against terrorism, the President said that Pakistan has rendered immense sacrifices in the war against terrorism and was committed to end this menace.

 

He also expressed his hope that newly appointed ambassadors would work for further enhancing the existing ties of their respective countries with Pakistan.
