Karachi: Chairperson Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Bilawal Bhutto has inaugurated seven mega projects in Karachi.
These projects include Shaheed Millat Underpass, Begum Rana Liaqat Ali Khan Flyover, Korangi and Stadium Roads, Tipu Sultan Road, Submarine underpass and Sunset Flyover.
While addressing the Inauguration Ceremony of these seven mega-projects in Karachi, the chairperson PPP said that these mega projects gave employment to the labor class.
“At time when federal government is shutting down mega projects, we have inaugurated seven of them. These seven projects are highly important for the development of Karachi,” he said.
Criticizing the Prime Minister Imran Khan, he said that PM has ruined the economy
“The federal government is not providing resources to the provinces. The businessmen and bureaucracy is unable to work due to NAB. There is no employment the country and there is inflation everywhere. The small traders are suffering from taxes,” he added.
The inauguration of projects has come a day after Prime Minister Imran Khan while chairing a meeting on Sindh's problems said that the province has been inundated with corruption and now there is "urgent need" for accountability.
During the meeting, which was attended by Firdous Shamim Naqvi, Khurram Sherzaman, Haleem Adil Sheikh and 25 leaders from the Muttahida Qoumi Movement (MQM), Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and Grand Democratic Alliance (GDA), the Prime Minister was given a report on Sindh by the Auditor General upon which Imran Khan expressed anger about Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah.
The members present at the meeting also expressed anger at the CM, claiming that he was an impediment to progress. Some members said that they were voted in for change but Sindh is showing no signs of change.
