President calls for transforming South Asia as a dispute-free region

President Dr. Arif Alvi has called for transforming South Asia as a dispute-free region.
He made this call in a message on the occasion of commemoration of 34th SAARC Charter Day today.
The President said SAARC Charter Day is the day to renew commitment that SAARC member countries to jointly fight poverty, illiteracy, disease, malnutrition and unemployment.
Extending heartiest felicitations to the people and the SAARC Member States, Dr. Arif Alvi said over the years, SAARC has made notable strides in various fields of intra-regional cooperation.
