Kashmiri youth offering sacrifices to end age-old slavery

In occupied Kashmir, Hurriyat leaders and organizations including Syed Ali Gilani, the forum led by Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, Dukhtaran-e-Millat, Salvation Movement and Peoples Freedom League have paid rich tributes to Yawar Bashir and two other youth, martyred by Indian troops during a siege and search operation at Qazigund in Kulgam district.
The Chairman of All Parties Hurriyat Conference, Syed Ali Gilani while telephonically addressing mourners in Hablish area of Kulgam district from Srinagar said, “Our youth lay their lives to end the age-old slavery of their people. They are putting a huge responsibility on our shoulders to honour these sacrifices and take the movement to its logical end.”
The forum led by Mirwaiz Umar Farooq in its statement said it is because of the lingering Kashmir dispute, the region is witnessing bloodshed, every now and then. “Resolution of Kashmir issue is a must for lasting peace in entire South Asia. Bloodshed will continue as long as the dispute is alive,” the statement added. The forum said it is the responsibility of the world community to play its role in restoration of normalcy by building pressure on India to accept ground realities in Kashmir.
Dukhtaran-e-Millat General Secretary, Nahida Nasreen, said, “People of Kashmir are fighting for a sacred cause for the past seven decades and are offering priceless sacrifices.”
A delegation of Jammu and Kashmir Salvation Movement comprising Imtiyaz Ahmed, Farooq Ahmed, Adnan Salafi and Ishaq Ahmed participated in the funeral of martyr Yawar Ahmed in Kulgam. The delegation expressed solidarity with the martyr’s family.
The Jammu and Kashmir Peoples Freedom League in a statement said Indian atrocities were forcing Kashmiri youth to take to the armed struggle.
