Erdogan invites OIC leaders to attend meeting

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has invited leaders of member states of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) to attend extraordinary meeting on Wednesday to discuss the status of Jerusalem.
A spokesman of the Turkish government told reporters in Ankara on Wednesday that the meeting will give an opportunity to Muslim leaders to act together and coordinate their response following President Donald Trump's expected recognition of Jerusalem as Israel's capital.
The spokesman also said that Turkey urges the US administration to immediately turn away from this grave mistake that will virtually eliminate the fragile Middle East peace process.
