KARACHI: MQM-Pakistan’s Sheikh Salahuddin filed on Monday a petition in the Islamabad High Court against the PTI candidate who won the election in Karachi’s NA-254.
Salahuddin requested the notification of the victory be withheld because he said PTI candidate Muhammad Aslam Khan’s victory was ‘bogus’.
Khan won the election in the constituency by bagging 75,702 votes. Traditionally NA-254 has been the MQM’s stronghold.
The petition was filed days after the MQM and PTI decided to form an alliance in the National Assembly.
