KARACHI – Pakistan has on Sunday released 100 Indian fishermen as goodwill gesture, Dunya News reported.
The fishermen will depart from the Karachi Cantonment Railway Station for Lahore, and will be handed over to the Indian authorities at the Wagah border.
The Edhi Foundation is bearing the travelling expenses. The foundation will also give presents to the fishermen.
Furthermore, Pakistan will stepwise set 260 more fishermen free in the upcoming days. The Indian fishermen were captured by the Pakistani authorities for violating maritime boundary.
