LAHORE – Federal government responds over fake media notification of six holidays in Muharram.
Government of Pakistan today refuted the fake news about six-day holidays from September 6 to September 11 owing to security threat in the Holy month of Muharram-ul-Haram.
Federal government on Twitter said that the notification, circulating in media, is fake and no such instructions have been issued by the Government of Pakistan regarding neither holidays nor security threats.

It went on to share the official notification by the Ministry of Interior which stated about closing the private and publics offices by 3 pm to express solidarity with Kashmiris on Defence Day and commemorate the sacrifices made by Pakistani soldiers in defending its borders.
