What did Mohammad Hafeez write in his letter to Chairman PCB?

LAHORE: Former Pakistan Cricket Captain, Muhammad Hafeez has written a letter to Chairman, Pakistan Cricket Board, Ehsan Mani on being overlooked from Pakistan cricket team named for the Asia Cup being played in September 15, Dhaka.

In the letter, he has narrated the injustice meted out to him and his rejection from the team. Hafeez in sheer disappointment wrote “Despite his good performance the selection committee as well as the team management have not selected him and he has failed to understand that sort of attitude with a senior player of his statute.”

“If they (selectors and the team management) are not in favour of retaining me in the team then I should be told in straight and clear manner so that I should decide my future in the game and call it a day with dignity and pride“, he continued in the letter.

Hafeez expressed his agony in the letter by saying that first he was dropped from the team for the tour of Zimbabwe now he has been sidelined in an important assignment, the Asia Cup. He has already expressed his reservations on his demotion in the ‘B’ category of the central contract of players awarded by the PCB.

The ongoing treatment being meted out to the test opener has left him in dismay and if the Pakistan Cricket Board does not guarantee in the team in future cricket events, he is considering to quite the game.
