UNHC seeks clarification from India for deporting 7 Rohingya men to Myanmar

The United Nations High Commission for Refugees has sought a clarification from India for deporting seven Rohingya men to Myanmar.
Spokesman of UN High Commission for Refugees Andrej Mahecic at a news briefing in Geneva today (Friday) said Rohingya men had been denied access to legal counsel and a chance to have their asylum claims assessed.
He further said current conditions in Myanmar’s Rakhine state are not conducive for safe, dignified and sustainable return of stateless Rohingya refugees.
