PM Imran Khan attends high level security meeting at Corps Headquarters Quetta

ISLAMABAD – Prime Minister Imran Khan will attend high level security meeting in Corps Headquarters Quetta.

He arrived in the capital of Balochistan, Quetta on Saturday for a security briefing concerning the province.

Upon his arrival, the prime minister was received by Chief Minister Balochistan Jam Kamal, PM Office media wing in a press release said.

The premier would chair a meeting on the development projects of Balochistan and meet members of the provincial cabinet.

According to spokesperson Pakistan Armed Forces, the prime minister will be briefed on the security situation of Pakistan’s land-wise biggest province, Baluchistan at Headquarters Southern Command, stated During his visit, the prime minister would also meet parliamentarians and representatives of the civil society.

Minister for Information and Broadcasting Ch. Fawad Hussain, Minister for Planning and Development Makhdoom Khusro Bakhtiar, Minister of State for Interior Shehryar Afridi, provincial political leadership, special assistants to PM on media and political affairs are also accompanying the prime minister.

This is the first tour of premier Imran Khan to Balochistan after assuming charge and holds crucial importance as the province faces violence sporadically owing to the subversive activities carried out by foreign spy agencies.
