Benazir Bhutto murder case: New developments made in SC
ISLAMABAD - New developments have been made in the Benazir Bhutro murder case in the Supreme Court of Pakistan.
As per the media report, the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has submitted its report in Benazir Bhutto murder case in the Supreme Court on Friday.
The FIA has taken the stance in the report submitted in Supreme Court that the agency has filed two petitions in the Benazir Bhutto murder case which also included appeal against acquittal of accused involved in the murder of former prime minister.
The FIA report also stated that these appeals are pending in the Lahore High Court Rawalpindi bench. The report also said that the FIA has not filed any appeal regarding convicted police officers.
The report further said that the FIA had also filed appeals for Rafaqat Hussain and Aitzaz Shah arrest. The report said that the FIA has also written letter to Punjab Home Department and Interior Ministry for their arrest.
Earlier, the Supreme Court of Pakistan on Friday has rejected Pakistan People’s Party’s (PPP) petition to suspend bails granted to two police officers accused in the Benazir murder case involving ex-President Pervaiz Musharraf as principal accused.
