PM Imran Khan holds important PTI parliamentary meeting
*ISLAMABAD – Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan said on Wednesday that tensions with India had eased due to the timely and right decisions of the incumbent government.*
Addressing a meeting of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) parliamentary party, the prime minister mentioned that it was because of timely and correct decisions that Pakistan-India war was averted. He also took the party members into confidence over Pakistan-India escalations.
PM Imran Khan also said that the timely and right decisions eased tensions between both the countries but the war threat remained.
PM Khan termed that the decision to act against proscribed organisations was not made under any pressure and was an internal matter of the country.
He added that a clear message had been sent to the international community that Pakistan would act in its self-interest.
He also explained that any decisions would be taken always for the interest for the country. It was also reported that Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi was praised for his diplomacy during the meeting.
During the meeting, the PTI parliamentary party approved the Finance Amendment Bill 2018-19. The meeting reviewed various matters relating to the party.
