A large number of people staged a protest demonstration at Lal Chowk in Srinagar against the ban on Jamaat and conspiracies against special status of Jammu and Kashmir.

The Chairman of Tehreek-e-Hurriyat Jammu and Kashmir, Muhammad Ashraf Sehrai in a statement said, repressive measures like raids and arrests are being used as tools to force the Kashmiris into submission.
