DG ISPR responds over reports of acting against banned organisations under pressure

RAWALPINDI: Director General Inter-Services Public Relations Major General Asif Ghafoor has responded over media reports of acting against banned organisation under someone pressure.

He said on Tuesday that the crackdown on banned organisations is not due to anyone’s directives, adding that the decision to ban Jamaat-ud-Dawa and Falah-e-Insaniat was taken in January.

The DG ISPR spoke to media, saying that Pakistan received a dossier from India and it is under investigation by the relevant institution.

Maj Gen Ghafoor said that all the political parties agree on the National Action Plan. Unfortunately, the NAP wasn’t implemented as desired, he added.
