PML-N always respected constitutional institutions: Saad Rafique

LAHORE:Federal Minister for Railways Khawaja Saad Rafique on Monday said the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz had always respected the constitutional institutions and would continue to do so.

Addressing an award distribution ceremony at a local hotel here, he said the PML-N would come into power again with two third majority in the upcoming 2018 elections.

He said former prime minister Nawaz Sharif had not committed any corruption, adding, "You can not end love for Nawaz sharif from the hearts of people."

Khawaja Saad Rafique said Nawaz Sharif made Pakistan an atomic power and gave motorways, adding Nawaz Sharif was called a hijacker in past and Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto was declared a murderer and hanged but no body believed in this narrative, stressing democracy should not be halted.

The PML-N government had changed Lahore and it would also change Karachi, Peshawar and Quetta in future, he said.

The PML-N would come in power with people's support and the conspiracy to set the lion up by false cases would not succeed, he maintained.

He said Nawaz Sharif was fighting the war of the rights of people and the masses would win this war.

Khawaja Saad Rafique said politics was a powerful weapon and people should understand this, adding whenever Nawaz Sharif came into power he set new standards of development and progress.

He said a politician would remain a politician even if he was buried in a grave.

Appraising the presence of a large number of women came across the Punjab, he said that skilled women had made their mark in society.

Provincial Minister for Health Khawaja Imran Nazir, PML-N professional wing Sadia Taimor, MPA Majid Zahoor, Mayor Lahore Mubashir Javed and others were present on the occasion.APP/AFP
