President Donald Trump warns China with yet another $300 billion tariff threat

WASHINGTON - U.S. President Donald Trump threatened to hit China with tariffs on at least another 300 billion dollars worth Chinese goods.

He stated this while talking to reporters before boarding Air Force One at Irish airport of Shannon on his way to France for a D-Day commemoration.

Trump said our talks with China, a lot of interesting things are happening and we will see what happens.

Meanwhile, China’s Commerce Ministry said today(Thursday), that Beijing would have to adopt necessary countermeasures if Washington unilaterally escalates trade tensions.

It said that U.S. pressure have also caused serious setbacks to the trade talks.

Earlier, International Monetary Fund warned that escalating tariff threats are sapping business and market confidence, and could slow global growth that is currently expected to improve next year.
