SC overturns disqualification of Yar Muhammad Rind

ISLAMABAD: The Supreme Court has allowed PTI Balochistan chief Yar Muhammad Rind to contest election, suspending Balochistan High Court order.
A three-member bench of the Supreme Court ordered the Election Commission to allot a symbol to Yar Muhammad Rind.
Balochistan High Court had earlier upheld the election tribunal's decision barring Yar Muhammad Rind from contesting election.
The High Court had rejected his nomination papers for submitting a fake degree during 2008 elections.
The lawyer for Yar Muhamamd Rin maintained that the candidate had admitted that the degree was invalid but not bogus.
