Hussain Nawaz in Qatar to meet Prince Hammad Bin Jasim

ISLAMABAD:   Hussain Nawaz Sharif has reportedly arrived in Qatar to meet the Qatar Prince Hammad Bin Jasim in connection with the Panama Case.

It was earlier reported that Hussain Nawaz, the elder son of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, Thursday left for Qatar, with speculations that he will meet Qatari prince Hamad Bin Jasim.

According to our correspondent, agenda of Hussain Nawaz’s departure for Doha is so far unclear, but he is most likely to meet Qatari prince Hamad Bin Jasim bin Jaber al Thani in connection with investigation into Sharif Family’s assets revealed in Panama Papers.

On Tuesday, Hussain Nawaz appeared before six-member Joint Investigation Team (JIT) investigating money laundering allegations against the Sharif family.

The same day, two JIT members, Brig. Kamran Khurshid – representing Military Intelligence – and Irfan Naeem Mangi – representing National Accountability Bureau (NAB) in JIT – arrived back home from Dubai where they contacted the Qatari prince.

The JIT members, according to sources, had offered the prince to record his statement in Pakistani embassy in Qatar; however, he rejected the offer.
