ISLAMABAD - New Zealand beat Pakistan by 61 runs in the first One Day International of five-match series at Wellington on Saturday.
Batting first New Zealand scored 315 runs for the loss of 7 wickets in the stipulated 50 overs.
Pakistan were batting at 166 runs for the loss of 6 wickets in 30.1 overs when the match was stopped due to rain.
The match was decided under Land Duckworth-Lewis method.
