CJP warns to close down OLMT like projects if health, education not improved

LAHORE – Chief Justice Saqib Nisar, while hearing the suo motu notice on the state of public hospitals in Punjab, warned that he will close all projects, including Orange Line Metro Train (OLMT), if health and education sectors are not improved.
A two-member bench, headed by the chief justice and comprising Justice Ejazul Ahsan, is hearing matters of public welfare at the apex court’s Lahore registry.
The CJP also ordered the government to submit the report after having audit of the hospitals.
He also took notice of Punjab government’s doling out ads, seeking the record of expenditures incurred on the advertisement campaign within 10 days.
