LUMS students win first prize in US state department competition

WASHINGTON: LUMS won the first prize in final presentation of “P2P: Challenging Extremism” competition held at US Department of State.
Students from different universities around the world developed campaigns against violent extremism.
A group from Pakistan, US and Switzerland submitted their final projects at the US Department of State.
“Pakistan’s project ‘Fate: From apathy to empathy’ took first place and won $5,000 to expand their campaign within their local community,” US Consulate General Lahore wrote on its Face book page.
