No economic crisis in country: Asad

Finance Minister Asad Umar says there is no economic crisis in the country and financing gap for the current fiscal year has been met.
In an interview, he said all fundamental economic indicators are improving as a result of effective policies of the government.
The Finance Minister said exports are increasing while imports and current account deficit are witnessing downward trend.
He said the government is making policies to further increase exports and foreign remittances and encourage investment to further stabilize the economy.
Asad Umar said the government has not increased prices of electricity and gas for the poor masses and tax was imposed only for those who belong to elite class.
He said the country's economic condition was worst when PTI came into power and hard decisions were needed to improve the situation.
