RAWALPINDI - Maj Gen Asif Ghafoor has responded over the Indian Army Chief statement regarding Pakistan becoming a secular state.
DG ISPR said that Pakistan was created in the name of Islam. “India terms itself a secular state. Does it a secular state? India should first itself a secular country and then talk about Pakistan,” he said.
The DG ISPR questioned whether minorities are safe in India. “The Babari Mosque issue is sufficient to expose India.”
He said that the minorities and their worship places are safe in Pakistan.
The DG ISPR said that enemies benefitted from provocation in the name of religion. “We should strive to improve law and order, economy, healthcare and education. There is need to improve oneself first,” he observed.
