James Shera expresses deep concern over situation in Indian occupied Kashmir

A Pakistani-origin Christian community leader in the UK James Shera has written a letter to the British Prime Minister Boris Johnson, expressing deep concern over several interlinked troubling recent developments in Indian occupied Jammu & Kashmir.

In the letter, James Shera said the Christian community of Pakistan origin in the UK has noted increased ceasefire violations across Line of Control, additional deployment of 38,000 troops, heightened state-sponsored repression against the defenceless Kashmiris, and reports regarding attempts to abrogate articles 35-A and 370 of the Indian Constitution.

The letter further says that by abolishing Article-35, India plans to change the demographic structure of the occupied Kashmir.

This would be a blatant violation of the UN Security Council's resolutions on Kashmir dispute and would seriously jeopardize regional peace and security.

The letter also urges the P-5 countries to act now before it's too late.
