Shattered boxer Amir Khan vows to bring his career back in ring again

LONDON  – Amir Khan has on Sunday revealed that he will fly to the US after being been left gutted and unable to sleep by the spectacular break-up of his marriage.

Boxer Amir Khan said that the breakdown of his marriage to Faryal Makhdoom has left him devastated. He said: “I don’t know what to say. I’m gutted. I’ve not slept all night. “I went to see some people at the marina and I’ve been up all night. I couldn’t sleep. I need time to think. I just need to rest and to speak to some people.”

Khan, 30, and his wife, 26, became embroiled in a sensational public row on Twitter during which both were guilty of mudslinging.

The former world welterweight champion accused his wife of having an affair with Anthony Joshua, which he denied, and Makhdoom unloaded on her husband’s flailing boxing career and cheating past before deleting the posts.

But French model Eglantine-Flore Aguilar, 24, told Makhdoom she should have ended her marriage years ago after saying she slept with her husband in March 2014.

This afternoon, Khan tweeted to say he will be flying to San Francisco in mid-August to ‘put everything behind him’ and train to get his career in the ring back on track.
