LHC to get Enterprise-level IT System from 10th April

LAHORE: (APP) Lahore High Court (LHC) Chief Justice Syed Mansoor Ali Shah on Thursday met with a delegation of lawyers' representatives and briefed them about benefits of enterprise-level IT system being launched at the court.

Supreme Court Bar Association Secretary Aftab Ahmad Bajwa, Punjab Bar Council Chairman Executive Committee Syed Asmat Bukhari, High Court Bar Association Rawalpindi President Zafar Mehmood Mughal, High Court Bar Association Rawalpindi Vice President Bilal Raza, Lahore High Court Bar Bahawalpur President Nawazish Ali Pirzada, Lahore High Court Bar Association Secretary Amir Saeed Raan, Lahore Bar Association President Ch Tanvir Ahmad were included in the delegation.

Talking to delegation, the chief justice said that enterprise-level IT System would become functional at the Lahore High Court on April 10. He said that after the system become functional, the lawyers' CC Number would be annulled and Nation Identity Card of lawyers' would be used as CC Number.

He said that the system would be directly linked with NADRA database . He said that with the help of system, lawyers and litigants would be informed about case status including filing, diary number, fixation, hearing and short order through the SMS.

He said that online case filing would become possible with the system whereas filing of cases through fake names would also abolish.

He said that the oath commissioner shed and LHC copy branch were being shifted at alternate location in view of security and public convenience.

The delegation expressed complete confidence on the measures taken by the LHC for lawyers and the litigants.
