NAB arrests two officers over charges of corruption

KARACHI – National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has arrested two officials of Sindh local government department over corruption charges.
According to sources, accused Rehmatullah and Manzoor Abbasi were removed by the Chief Minister of Sindh Murad Ali Shah some months ago. They are accused to making fake payments worth millions of rupees to bogus companies.
Manzoor Abbasi has already plea bargained with the anti-graft watchdog in a case. Investigation of assets beyond means are underway.
