DG ISPR tells why there was no official statement of the special Corps Commander Conference
The DG ISPR made these remarks when asked by a journalist why no official statement was issued by the ISPR after a special Corps Commanders conference held at the military’s General Headquarters (GHQ) on Tuesday.
The special corps commanders conference presided over by Chief of the Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa had lasted around seven hours.
The military top leadership reviewed the security challenges facing the country, as well as the preparedness of the armed forces to deal with any situation that may develop.
According to reports, the forum considered the continuing unprovoked ceasefire violations committed by India on both the Line of Control (LoC) and the Working Boundary, as well as the irresponsible statements emanating from New Delhi.
But in a rare move, the army’s media wing did not issue any official statement following the marathon special meeting.
