Sindh Police recovers biggest cache of arms from Azizabad, Karachi

KARACHI: (APP) The police on Wednesday recovered a huge cache of weapons during a raid on a house in Karachi's Azizabad Block 8.

A spokesman of the Sindh Police said that the recovery was made on the pointation of some arrested accused.
He said that the weapons included anti-aircraft guns, sniper rifles, bullet proof jackets, submachine guns, light machine guns, rocket launchers, rifles, hand grenades and a large quantity of bullets.
The weapons, the spokesman pointed out, was hidden in the under- ground water tank.

He said that police have registered a case and formed raiding teams for the arrest of accused in this case.
The Inspector General of Police (IGP), Sindh, A.D. Khawaja, has announced Rs. 500,000 and commendation certificate for the police team that recovered the cache of arms.
