Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has issued directions for the placement of Tribal Areas Revaj Act 2017 and consequential constitution amendments before the National Assembly in its forthcoming session.
Minister for Law Zahid Hamid will table the bill in the lower house, which is a step forward to mainstream the Federally Administered Tribal Areas in accordance with the recommendations made by the FATA Reforms Committee.
The Federal Cabinet has already endorsed the recommendations. This historic development will usher in a new era of peace, progress, and prosperity for the people of the tribal areas.
