Panama leaks JIT: Officers nominated by Supreme Court

ISLAMABAD: Supreme Court of Pakistan has announced Joint Investigation Team in the Panama Case headed by FIA Additional Director General Wajid Zia.
Other members of the investigation team include Military Intelligence (MI) Brigadier Kamran Khursheed, State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) Amir Aziz, Securities Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP) Executive Director Bilal Rasool, National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Director Irfan Naeem Mangi, and Inter Services Intelligence’s (ISI)Muhammad Nauman Saeed.
Earlier, the Supreme Court had stated that the JIT will be constituted today at all costs to probe into the Panama papers scandal.
The list of the officers of Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP) and State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) was presented before the bench.
Justice Sheikh Azmat Saeed said the bench after going through the proposed names got the impression that a game is being played with the court, adding, “We received negative reports regarding the political affiliations of the proposed names.”
