Census process postponed after firing incident at Chaman

QUETTA: Provincial Census Commissioner Pasand Khan Buledi said that census process of two areas including Chamans Killi Jahangir and Killi Luqman were postponed after firing on Census team by Afghan forces near PaK-Afghan border.

He said that the second phase of census were continuing successful in 17 districts of Balochistan and adding that the Census procedure of Killi Jahangir and Killi Luqman area of Killa Abdullah district were temporary postponed after the incident.

Talking to APP here on Friday, he expressed satisfactions of the role of citizens who are cooperating with census team in their respective areas.

He said that there is no untoward situation in Balochistan during ongoing Census process.

He said that the second phase of census would be completed on time in good manner through best efforts of law enforcement agencies in the country. (APP)
