PML N Stalwart barred from contesting elections by LHC

LAHORE – The Lahore High Court disqualified PML-N candidate Rana Zahid from contesting the elections from NA-146.
The court nullified the verdict of the election appellate tribunal.
Rana Aftab had moved court to stop Rana Zahid from contesting the elections.
Rana Zahid was accused of having a fake degree.
On the other hand, the court dismissed a petition seeking disqualification of PTI candidate Amjad Joyia.
Waseem Jatt, an independent candidate, had challenged the eligibility of Amjad Joyia.
Meanwhile, the LHC also disqualified Javed Chaudhry, an independent candidate from PP-192, from contesting the election.
