ISLAMABAD (APP): Pakistan International Airline (PIA) said that 16 of its cabin crew and members belonging to Islamabad and Peshawar offices received injuries in a fire outbreak at Karachi's Regent Plaza hotel Monday morning.
According to a private news channel, at least 11 people including three doctors and four women were killed in the pre-dawn blaze that overtook the hotel at 3am in the dark of night.
The stampede that the raging fire triggered Sunday night left at least 65 people injured; of them, most people have broken bones.
Panicked with advancing fire, they jumped from the upper floors to save their lives. Bodies and the wounded were shifted to Jinnah Hospital.
According to PIA 's Public Affairs Division, most of the cabin crew have been discharged from the hospital after necessaryfirst aid; while others are still undergoing medical treatment.
