ISLAMABAD - PM Imran Khan held important telephonic conversation with Malaysian PM Mahatir Mohammad over Indian Occupied Kashmir status change.
Prime Minister Imran Khan called Malaysian Prime Minister Mahathir Bin Mohamad to apprise him of the recent developments in IoK.
During the conversation, Prime Minister Imran said that India's announcement regarding the change in IOK's status was "in clear violation of the United Nations Security Council resolutions".
He stressed that today's move by New Delhi would "deteriorate the peace and security of the region and would further undermine the relations between two neighbours (India and Pakistan) with strategic capabilities".
Prime Minister Mahathir told the premier that Malaysia was closely monitoring the situation in IoK and "would remain in touch".
He also said that he looked forward to meeting Prime Minister Imran on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly in New York.
