UN Security Council meets on North Korea

The United Nations Security Council meets in New York on Saturday to vote on a US-drafted resolution aimed to impose new sanctions against North Korea.

The draft resolution envisages a ban on North Korea's exports of coal, iron, iron ore, lead, lead ore and seafood.

It would also prohibit countries from new joint ventures with North Korea and any new investment in current joint ventures.
