QCCM: Regional Counter terrorism bloc to help eliminate terrorism; says DG ISPR

ISLAMABAD: Director General Inter Services Public Relations Lt.Gen Asim Saleem Bajwa has said Quadrilateral Cooperation and Coordination Mechanism (QCCM) will strengthen regional efforts against terrorism.
In an interview, he said China, Pakistan, Afghanistan and Tajikistan have adopted the mechanism to choke terrorists' funding and take other measures to wipe out terrorism from the region.
He said the four countries have agreed for cooperation, coordination, operations and training to end the menace of terrorism.
Answering a question, Gen. Asim Saleem said Pakistan Army has clearly stated that security of CPEC is a national undertaking.
To a question about Afghanistan, he said a hotline has been established between the Director Generals Military Operations of Pakistan and Afghanistan, which helps, removes distrust between the two countries.
