In occupied Kashmir, Hurriyet leaders have strongly condemned ban of civilian movement on Srinagar-Jammu highway for two days in a week by the Indian government.
The Chairman All Parties Hurriyat Conference Chairman, Syed Ali Gilani in a statement in Srinagar said that caging the entire population in their houses to facilitate the uninterrupted movement of Indian troops is shameful and humiliating violation of fundamental rights.
He said that Indian ruling class should bear in mind that Jammu and Kashmir is not their property and its people are not their slaves.
Chairman Hurriyet forum, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq in a tweet said the dictatorial move to close national highway will cause great distress to people.
He urged the Indian government to withdraw the decision and stop punishing people of Kashmir.
