Pakistan Army ex Colonel shot dead in Karachi

KARACHI: Karachi city has witnessed another case of probable target killing as a former Pakistan Army colonel was shot dead in Karachi on Wednesday.
According to officials, unknown gunmen targeted colonel (retd.) Zia Tahir as he was traveling in his car near Baloch Colony Bridge.
Police said the attackers, who were riding a motorcycle, fired shots on the vehicle, killing the retired military officer on the spot.
A man named Rehan was also injured in the shooting incident.
Police said that the incident seems to be a case of target killing. Further investigations of the incident are underway.
Two bullet shells of a nine mm pistol were found from the crime scene, police said.
