Ch. Nisar indicates to lift ban on issuance of arms licenses

ISLAMABAD: Interior Minister Ch. Nisar has indicated to lift ban on issuance of arms licenses here at today (Tuesday) after the arms licenses will be issued in 3 phases.
As per details, Interior Minister decided to lift ban on the issuance of arms licenses while a strategy has also been made by interior ministry in this regard to issue licenses in 3 different phases.
According to policy, arms licenses will be issued to media houses and government, private educational institutions in the first phase while licenses will be issued to Pak Army officers, soldiers and civil servants in second phase.
The arms licenses will be issued to public in third phase as per policy of interior ministry.
Sources said that government and non-government organization will send their required demands through Home Departments while tax number will be compulsory to mention for prohibited bore licenses.
Deputy Commissioners will be given powers to examine the application for arms licenses while recommendations of DCOs regarding the numbers of licenses will be considered final.
Implementation on the issuance of arms licenses will be started after the approval of Interior Minister Ch. Nisar.
